Telstra NBN marketing SCAM: asked for details leading to identity theft. Don't provide any details and hang up asap

The blank calls are a computer auto generating numbers. Once you answer, the system sends your number to the spam callers who pretend to be someone from a company like Telstra. This should be stopped by the government as it is harassment. Any ideas?

this number keeps calling me today - getting sick of it . they are not talking when call is answered

I am also receiving at least 3 calls a day on by business mobile. I don't answer as we are a Melbourne based company only servicing this area so why would a number from WA be calling us?? Definately a scam.

tried my daughter and then said 'Who is the contact for the business account?" Telstra would know who the contact is....

Still at it November 2017. Calling my mobile number on do-not-call register at least once or twice a day. Usually at lunchtime and evening. Rings too short a time to actually answer. Not that I would. Unfortunately my phone won't allow me to block numbers. They need to be stopped.

5 calls today within an hour. Maybe if telstra didn't hand over our details to third parties we wouldn't get these arseholes calling!

Yes, I have been receiving non-stop phone calls from this number - no message is ever left. I called today and it is for Telstra Business.

Number called biz mobile and personal mobile at the same time. Know these numbers so didn't answer but they persist its getting annoying

Three telstra lines we have (two mobiles and landline) all went off at the same time from the same number then hung up.

Phone rang two rings only. Checked here and looks like their MO for several years. Scammers apparently. Why can't they be prosecuted?

Yep, they just called my husbands mobile which was not answered and then about 10 minutes later called mine - I answered and was told it was Telstra - told him to not call either of our mobiles again and I was not interested in anything he had to say and hung up !
