NO ! It will not help. I have been on the DO NOT CALL register for over 18 months, and yet still get hassled. The official word is, that anyone who is "Not For Profit" or a "Charity" or the like, will still be able to call. That's how these clowns slip through the loophole. The "Register" is not worth the effort to join. A COMPLETE waste of time.

Have been calling me from this number for weeks and not leaving a message. When my answering machine picks up they hang up and don't leave a message. Finally cracked today and dialled it back only to find out it's a Telstra Telemarketing company. I demanded that my number be removed from their list. Surprise, Surprise tonight I get the same thing happen but this time from another number in WA (08) 6100 0066 and when I tried calling it back I got a recorded message saying this number is not connected WTF

They have just rang me and said it was a Telstra Improvement Program and wanted to know if I had any issues...which I have...not internet for 10 days etc....they are going to follow up and get a refund from Bigpond for me and said they would ring me back this afternoon with how they got on. They knew the date that I haven't had internet from. I looked this number up and now am worried that it is a scam. They had all my info - I didn't tell them anything about the account but they knew it all - scary! I wonder if I will hear from them again??

Sick and tired of this sh!t. Keep getting 2-3 calls every week day in the afternoon. I refuse to pick up these calls. Keep getting voicemail messages left - but no talking. I can hear other operators in the background, however, I have minutes of more or less nothing recorded each time which I am paying for. Have got to the stage of blocking this number through iOS and registered on do not call. Hopefully this will help. Lift your game Telstra.

Number of calls, no messages left on answer machine. Telstra needs to wake up and get customer focused. You call Telstra about a problem & its several hours of your call is important to us messages, before you speak to a human. Call from (08) 6228 4053.

Mother F@#kers called me twice today. If Telstra want to maintain my business how about 'automatically' giving me a discount for being a loyal customer, rather than employ a third party company to call me and annoy me while trying to work.

constant harassment from this number

This number calls my office numerous times a day and hangs up literally every single time I answer. I DO NOT SEE THE POINT IN THIS. Extremely frustrating and a waste of my time. Will never use Telstra for anything because of this reason. They need to take a serious look at their marketing strategy.

I agree that it's related. I was getting calls from the 4009 number. Blocked it with Blocklist Plus for Android.
Now getting calls from this 4053 number.

I've set it to answer and hangup without notifying me so hopefully they're paying for this.

Have the same issues as per above - (Ringing - then hang up!!) called back and asked them to remove me from their list - still copping calls.

This number(08) 6228 4009 called me the last few month, they tried to talk about their products. I was many time asked to remove my number but keep calling few time a day with same guy. I have told them I have all of those services they try to sale and no interest, then they keep call me but hang up when I answer. I call back and request remove my number on their list they asked me for 30 days but keep calling untill 30days from the day mentioned. After that to day they call me today by an other number (08) 6228 4053.

Don`t understand why they trying to do that even they know people are annoying.

Refuse to answer. Why do we even have a no call list. I've even opted out of marketing directly with Telstra.

Got those calls too. Rang Telstra to complain. It is a Telstra 3rd party telemarketing company. Telstra has now removed my number from the telemarketer's list.
