Don't answer this call. It you do they will sell your information to other companies that will do the same.

Claimed to be calling on behalf of Telstra to see if I was getting the best deal.

They ring me several times a day, (no one there when I answer), so clearly a dialing machine. You ring back and get a message saying they are a telemarketing company working for Telstra. If so then why is there never a person on the other end of the call. I've been trying for weeks to get rid of this nuisance. It's like a bad infection.

Called me saying they were calling from Melbourne on behalf of Telstra. Finally decided to pick up after they have called me every single day for multiple days now. Instantly put up a guard regardless of them knowing my name because anything coming from Victoria is 03 not 08. Then wanted to know what plan I was on. Told them they should already know that if they're with Telstra. They then said that they just want to give me the best deal and I said that I'm in a contract and it's already better than the last one I had with them. I can't just change it and if I was unhappy with what I had, I would call them immediately, as I always do when something is wrong.

Thanks to all of the complete comments here (except Drew - who is a whole other problem himself); this is a great resource. Thanks to Talso64 - we did what you said - problem solved!
