Scam scam scam

debt collectors doing their job I would say. I was contacted as they were looking for someone on myFB list. Its what I would do if I was a debt collector. Called the main number not the number left for me and its legit. Just bloody call and make an arrangement to pay your debts people

Caller: unsure of persons name

They called me asking if a knew this name and he was someone I knew but havent spoken to for 15 or so year. I think asked how we are connected and he admitted Facebook. He wants his details but I told him to take me off his list and I have no contact with that person. I hope I haven't helped the cycle of phone calls. I wonder how this number hasnt been shut down yet.

I received a phone call from this number today asking for my bank details. Wouldn't say who they were or why they wanted my details. This is a scam.

Called my work number and said they had "lost" my mobile number. As it turned out they were trying to track down an old company I worked for. Very unethical and poor way of explaining themselves. Went by the name of Mord. Broken English and very likely some kind of scam

Lady called Maud called, said she was from pioneer credit and asked if I lived in my unit number ( I confirmed and asked how she had that information) she said she wasn't looking for me but asked if I knew someone by the name of blah blah in the same unit number but different block - I said no and was really confused by it all. Really dodgy, how did they get my name, number and address?! Pioneer Credit are a debt collection agency, seemed legit but dodgy practices.

Called my mobile asking for my ex, saying they had my phone number listed for Gina me it was about a banking matter. Said they were Maude from Pioneer Credit. I said I didn't have his number but would forward a message to him on Facebook. I gave her my name when asked. I contacted my ex and told him they were wanting to talk to him. He then called and she asked all details about me, asked him his DOB but apparently it didn't match the one they had so they couldn't give him any details. He mentioned that we both banked with CBA. They said it was about something that happened in 2012. An hour later I have a text saying Pioneer Credit are now dealing with the debt owed on my CBA account (listed my mobile number as the account number). I went into CBA as it didn't seem right and was told that it was a scam.
Now today, 3 weeks later, I have a mail redirect from my old address with a letter on what looks to be dodgy CBA letter head (it's black and white and fuzzy) saying CBA has given Pioneer Credit my debt of $900+ for a demand deposit account (which I do not believe I have ever had). I'm heading back into my local CBA branch tomorrow to confirm if legit or not, but the letter is dated 4 days prior to my first phone contact, but wasn't sent until after the phone contact and my details being given. Also, I didn't start banking with CBA until 2013.

this company rang our business asking about a client of theirs and gave the clients name. asking if I knew this person as he lived in the units upstairs and who the real estate was. what ever happened to peoples privacy. I certainly wouldn't use this company if they are ringing random people trying to track down their own clients.

I called back number (08) 6214 4480 spoke to a woman who said company name is Pioneer Credit.
