This number is a "call only" number which allows Mater to make calls, usually to their VIP members. It does NOT take INCOMING calls. So to all those unseemly non-thinkers out there, do some research before you waken your solitary brain cell

I think most people are just frustrated with the numerous calls at odd hours and no phone message Pete. Common courtesy when calling is to leave your details and if you feel generous or your able to donate, then you do. Most people these days struggle day by day just to pay their bills and still donate but it's a choice. When your at work and your phone rings constantly whilst it's in your bag, you immediately think there is an emergency, one of the kids at school is hurt, someone died etc....but instead there are 5-8 missed call's from this 07 number and no message.

I also donate every month and get called up at least 6 times a day, I have blocked the number but it seems to still get through.

I donate monthly so giving is not an issue. My issue is when they call you two to four times a day. That's when it becomes harassment. I just got one now and ignored it because I know it's them wanting to ask if I would like to buy some more tickets.

The people behind this number are total idiots. I have already rang the 1800 number and spoke to the lady about it and it is a charity. I advised them about the number of calls 2 a day twice a week had to stop. She said there and then hat my name was placed on the "Do Not Call" list, but guess what, the mongrels are still ringing so guess time to lodge a complaint with the Ombudsman's office.

These lowlifes keep calling my phone. Appears to be a spam number. When answered noone there. I Call them back allways engaged.

Thanks for the post they gave me lots of laughter and feedback. Especially Petes and those who responded to Petes concerns. I would have to agree with comments from PKH, Pete reads as if he needs to chill or get some help. Possibly some mindfulness would be in order too.

it's the rudeness not to leave a message whose calling. the phone wasn't invented for marketing and sales only d*ckhead. waiting on news from hospital don't need hang ups without reason. and yes I do give. the other gripe is why block your number if you've got nothing to hide and not to mention loss of advertising. every commercial number should be open and found in the directory period.
