to pete, we trade our time to work in terms of receiving payments so we could pay for goods and services and buy ourselves good lives. on the same token, companies hire people to do tasks. in return of the effort people spent, companies repay the time that their employees sacrificed in monetary terms. it's a two-way traffic, as always. none of each took away something without paying. if that's so, it's robbing! pete, your brain got some problems and you need to see psychiatrists.

You bunch of cry baby's whinging over a measly phone call, to scroogy about your giving, you hate to part with money thats why you whinge, tell me which one of you are responsible for creating the telephone network?...answer is non of you, it was some elses hand that provided it and created it and makes it happen so that you communicate with others. But now you whinge when it rings... your a pack stupid people who when in your time of trouble deserve no help, but thank God some people give themselves graciously, and when you ask you deserve to be scoffed at. just as you do when an organisation who supports sick people and employ many in the process ask for your help...what do you dumb dumbs think your doing each day when you turn up to work asking for money? thats right your asking for money so it wasnt yours to begin with, or when you rock up to centrelink asking for hand outs. what makes you think you deserve anything from this world when you prove how scroogy you really are? when you give, give with love and always show respect and understanding to other who ask for your help. Go and read the word of Jesus and you might just get a wake up call, and find that the real problem here is you.

Come on Pete, get off your high horse now. I agree with some of your ideals. But some people complaining about the phone call harassment are genuine givers of love, support, respect, as well as the odd donation of some description. You may be correct about some of the people complaining, ie dole bludgers and people in general who don't care enough to give anything - I can't stand those people either. But don't paint everyone who complains with the one brush. I for one am a giver to many charities, and am a firm believer in giving in general. You should also be able to give without thinking you are going to get it back in some way. Give because you want, if you receive something back in the future then great but don't rely on it. Give because its good and its right. Someone will always have a lot less than you, so be thankful for this. And don't think the universe owes you, you go and work hard and make your own luck in life. At the end of the day, these people ringing, to some point harrassing I must say, its not really their fault. They are employed to do a job. They do what they are told otherwise they won't have a job, then someone will take their place and do the same thing - its a vicious cycle!. So really you have to look at both sides of the equation. Take care everyone and thanks for taking time to read my post.

Pete, I really think you should have a panadol and a lie down. There's something wrong with you brother. Perhaps the Mater Hospital has a mental health section that can accommodate your needs. Good luck.

f*ck up Pete, your the real problem. I am Jesus and i have never liked you nor will i ever like you. You disgust me as well as taint my name in many ways. Please stop praying to me as your voice does my head in. Over and over again. Just shutup. i don't care for you. Why would you write a post like this it makes me look like my followers are losers. Cheers, Jesus.

I have just punched this number into my contact list as "do not answer, telemarketers" I know people get annoyed when they call, but they dont leave messages do it doesnt cost you any money. Just ignore the call, it is really that easy. Punch that number into your contact list like I have, then you will know not answer when it lights up "do not answer" on the screen. It wastes their time, not mine :)

Sick babies? What a joke. These swine do this for their own sake, for their own greed. I just called them and they won't take me off their list, they insist I gave them my number. I did not. Mater are CROOKS. GIVE THEM NOTHING.

I already buy tickets from the Mater Prize Home Lottery. I've had a number of calls from this number, but no message left. I'm pretty sure they're not ringing to say I've won.

Good on them, sure. I don't mind a call every once in a while, but one EVERY SINGLE MONTH asking me to spend more when I am already donating a regular $30 a month on a very tight budget just gets my back up.

I am currently overseas and this number keeps calling. Very annoying especially with the time difference.I do support Mater but now after reading these problems and getting these calls I think it is time to stop that. I think Angelflight can now get my money.

Just rang the 1800 178 022 number (had to try a couple of times) very pleasant lady just removed my details from their system. Hopefully no more phone calls and no more junk mail. If it works I may even think about donating again.
