Said he was from Telstra, I said I was from the local police station and recording the conversation. He hung up on me. I normally chat along and then put the phone by a speaker with loud music when I tell them to hang on for a couple of seconds. I think I will buy a cheap plastic whistle.

12 calls in 30 minutes....Telstra can stop these abusive calls, but won't do it until their customers log calls for a minimum of 7 days...they told me that it is government policy, before they can act....

100% scam. Don't comply with any requests. Claims to be from Telstra "Technical Department" and wanting to show me a virus problem online by turning on my computer. As the real Telstra are aware, and appropriate arrangements have been made, my NBN internet and landline are currently down (another issue!), and all landline calls including these scam ones are being re-routed to my mobile (hence this accurate tracking of frequency of calls from these pests via its log), so "turning on computer" was impossible anyway. 9 calls in 9 days, always around 6-7pm, but it has been going on for months and I just hang up now.

They wanted me to do something on my computer, called several times. They had some knowledge on an actual problem that I had. So I'm assuming there was an inside leak from telstra and they're using this info to scam me.
Pretty sure it's a scam.

Very similar experience as those reported by others. "Alan Martin" claiming to be from Telstra and saying we had an internet problem and that he wanted us to start our computer. My wife hung up but he rang back 7 times. The most persistent we've had

called repeatedly and wouldn't stop so I kept them on the line asking what it was all about. It is the usual event viewer scam wanting me to allow them access to my computer. I phoned telstra and advised them .

Repeated calls but they refuse to leave a message so it is not a genuine call.

This number has called me a couple of times claiming to be from Telstra. This time I tried to string them on to find out what this was about. She wanted me to open my computer as it had a virus. I asked her what section of Telstra she worked for and she told me it was the technical department. I said that there would be no section in Telstra called Technical department and what was the actual department she worked for. She then said something in a foreign language and hung up. Definitely a scam.

This number calls whenever - at 10pm some nights and again today on Boxing Day. Time is obviously irrelevant to these people. My number is on the DNC register and yet they still ring. Once you answer and say hello, it's re-routed to a foreign voice. I guess it's an unsolicited rubbish call.

This mob keep ringing and don't say anything and hang up. I call it stalking as they have rung 3 times today and usually the same every other day. Today went to message bank and all there was was someone foreign saying hello, probably those annoying pieces of excretia saying i have a problem with my internet.GO AWAY
