had 9 calls from this number in the space of a few hours we've had enough, so scam the scammers:
1. keep them on the line as long as possible, waste their time
2. call them back, then hang up: threat them as they treat us
If we all (20,000,000 aussies) do it they may get the message
3. Report each and every nuisance call to Telstra, Optus, etc until they do something. At the moment they make too much money from these scammers and cannot be bothered to look after their regular, decent Australian customers
4. Make the first of every month "Phone Calls Revenge Day": bombard the Embassies and Consulates of these scammers with complaints.

Their latest rouse is to say that they are from "Technical Division of Telstra", which is a load of bull! Persistent in their calling at random times of the day. Someone mentioned to put the phone number in your contacts and assign it a special ring tone, which I have now done. Every time I hear that particular ring tone I let the phone go to message bank.

I have like a lot of others had numerous calls from this number and when I rang back to see who they were I got the same message saying this number is incomplete check the number and call again. Telstra Optus etc should fix this problem because they have more resources than any of us instead of ignoring the problem hoping it will go away. Calling Telstra to report the problem is useless because all they do is transfer you to their overseas partners or whatever and we are left trying to explain the problem to someone who only relates to their role. You can spend half the day being transferred from one "customer service officer" to another. Totally useless.

I was expecting a call from Queensland and thought I had missed the call when I found this number recorded on my landline phone call log. I called it back and the message I got is that this number does not exist !! As this is the number that has been recorded and does not exist I can't think of any good reason for anyone at this 'number' to call me!!

I am a carer for my very elderly Father in his home. My poor old Dad gets hounded by these low lifes all day, everyday when I'm at work. I have confronted them and say "you want remote access to my computer or bank details etc as you are scammers" but that doesn't stop them. Dad gets woken from his naps and sometimes he rushes to the phone (as he is also lonely and hopes someone beside me is checking on his welfare) and he could have a fall, which at his age could be fatal. They are heartless pieces of sh*t that will get there's in the afterlife!!

I iam not a supporter but this is what Pauline Hanson wanted to stop. These are voip calls from india where the number appears as a local Brisbane number . The Telcos are working appartently to stop it but nothing has come as of it as yet . Your best option is pester Telstar as much as possible where they have to act on complaints received on mass

I added this number to our phone phone list and gave it a special ring so I don't bother getting up to answer the call. These scammers are the scum of the earth! Lazy, useless, lying cowards!

Something that might help: as of Sunday 18 February Telstra will no longer charge a fee to have a silent home number. I'll be updating mine on Monday! Won't stop the auto diallers but might prevent some other nuisance calls

Same old, same old thing about being from Telstra and problems with my internet. These are not lower caste Indians without job prospects,, these are wooer class, university educated low lifes who have chosen a life of crime to make easy money by stealing our identities and bank accounts. Treat them as they deserve to be treated. Insult them in any way you can. As they are upper class criminals they seem to take exception to being called prostitutes. I ask them (in the case of females) how long they have been a prostitute and in the case of males hoe long they have been a male homosexual prostitute. This approach seems to work well and they tend to totally loose all control and start yelling and screaming and swearing at me....SUCCESS
