Got a call saying they he was officer of fair trading and was depositing via cheque of $3000 as they won a claim against my bank. wouldnt name my bank but said documents had been sent out to my house for me to sign and all i need to do is present identification. then asked me for my licence number which i then requested to call back of which he hung up.

Just recieved the call from Mr Kevin Franks of the Government Grants Dept.. Nice chap. Had 4.5 K for me from the GRANTS DEPT.

I was so overwhealmed with the generosity of the Australian Federal Government I stated crying imnmediatley and would have given him a bottle of my most delicious champagne but Mr Franks said he couldn't accept it.    

I just couldn't let it rest there and demanded his home address to sent the bottle but Mr Franks was positive he couldn't accept it and just couldn't bring himself to give me his home or office address, must be a Government thing !!!

YEAH RIGHT YOU FRAUDULENT TOE RAGS

ARE THEY THAT DUMB IN INDIA. Whoops maybe this is an offshoot of the company who built the games venues.... And they bag Australia for smacking a few students around ...........

My grandma had a call yesterday from Kevin Franks of the Australian Grants Department from QLD... telling her that she would get a $2500 grant from the ATO all she had to do was to pay her $199 first and then she'll get the $199 plus $3500 back...
I call today to speak with "Kevin Franks" as soon as he answered the call (indian accent) he said 'I spoke to you yesterday about the grant of $4,500..... and all the same stuff he said to my grandmother. I asked him whereabout he works and where he was located, he said QLD and works forthe Australian Grants Department...  
Spoke with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and they know about the scam but they cant do anything because they are not  in their jurisdiction, probably located in India.
The ACCC told me that the only way of stopping this kind of scams is word of mouth, so please let everybody know about it.
Remember the Government and ATO office will never ask you for money to send you money...

My Wife just got a call from Jenifer she would get a $3500 grant from the Australian Grant Commission collectable from the Post Office all she had to do was to pay her $199 first and then get her $199 back with the $3500 Check.

Got the same call from an Eric johnes but with the accent my name Ian was pronounced Iron with the indian accent telling me im a good citizen. i have only just got my permenant residency so being a good citizen was a bit sus. i am playing with them now telling them allsorts to waste there time in the hope they are leaving some else alone who might belive this scam. i have $4500 in my grant from the ATO they want me to send $200 by western union. do these people thing we just fell out of a tree ?

Same.. got the same call!!
