Just got a call from this number, when I answer they say nothing. Then I called back to see who it was. No reply. Seeing I have just had a call from a regular charity I support and I refused to hand out my credit card info over the phone, I wonder if this is somehow linked. People try it on with me regularly and I will never be dumb enough to hand over my details to someone who approaches me.

It's Surf Life Saving trying to get you to buy tickets. If you are on their list they will still call you just tell them to only call you on your number between the hours of ???? or better still block the number, it's not rocket science. Now that you have the number BLOCK IT. Hope you don't win a house and they try and ring you though. JUst saying

some people dont have their phone tied to them. some people work and cant answer as they are doing a job. some people dont take their phones into the toilet with them or the shower or while vacuuming or mowing the lawn. So sometimes it is impossible to answer the phone and as they do not leave a polite or otherwise phone message to identify themselves you dont know who it is...Most charities have a message when you call the number so you do know who you missed the call from.

Just because they are charities raising money for good causes does not give them the right to be impolite.

How about you just put call block on those numbers. It works for me.

my number is also on the no call register and this is the second call from hawkers today. I have no QLD phone numbers in my tele lists

Just call 1800 642 925 and they are happy to take your number off the register,

nuisance call on both mob and landline - first call from this crowd so thought may have been important but return call rang out

Surf Life Saving Raffle books. They keep ringing me. I have asked to be taken off the books, but they keep ringing. I have missed several calls... now I have saved the number in my phone. I will be ringing the 1800 number now each time they ring me. And I am on the do not call register which states that only government bodies should be contacting me. Very disappointing that such a good charity just keeps ringing anyway - with either the 'please take me off your books' and the 'do not call register'. So unfortunately next time I answer it may not be nice....

answering the call and telling them you are not interested does not work, now they just ring until I answer and hang up, I think this is harassment and I am sure the charity would love to hear this if there was a way to tell them

First off I've paid for an "unlisted number". Has not helped at all. So I waited for 'the
call' & asked the caller how he got my number. I demanded to know how he had my
number & I informed him 'a nuisance call' complaint would be made - & said 'I want
your name & name of organization'. His reply, 'I can't do that. My company buys
the names of people 'on the roll'. Now work that out. Who has your un-listed paid-for
telephone account.

This is a telemarketer. If you have an iPhone, block them. To do so, save the number in your phone as '
Annoying call'. Then, once added as a new contact, you will see at the bottom of the screen when you go into the contact from your contact list, 'Block This Caller'. Click on it and pow, they are gone forever.

I have had the same experience, if I answer the call it automatically disconnects however most of the time they call while I am at work so I cant answer the phone anyway.

Hi Stop Complaining so much, we are entitled to complain when these people call. I choose which charity I donate to and don't like an someone calling asking for money. They may be calling on behalf of a charity, but who pays them and their phone bill? The public donations do. These people have called me twice, I have told them I do not wish to give them money. How many times do they have to be told.. and again, we have every right to complain about annoying, unwanted phone calls.
