I answered, they hung up and going by comments here, if they were looking for donations, I would had hung up on them anyway.
If I have spare money which is rare, I'll donate myself, but I don't donate to people asking for money. These companies can afford to pay people to do cold calling for donations, they don't need money to fill these companies pockets that charge them to call on their behalf. Just My Opinion

Qld Caller, I am in SA, claiming to be from Next Step. The real place helps put together Care Packages for victims of Domestic Violence. Previous caller on different Qld number did like like me wanting to Donate direct to the SA branch. This one told me "don't be silly" when asked if the Male victims of Domestic Violence can receive help through them.
Very cold here, 3 ribs on my left are hurting again. I never hit her back. Only the weak hit back.

Caller: Charity donations

These guys are great, dead air for 11 seconds after I answered. Great opportunity to allow them to waste their time while I watched some tv and then hung up. My dog loves them, I put them on speaker and gets someone new and interesting to talk to.

Rand back on desk ph privae govt number - ..it was silent for about 10 secs then got an engaged signal

Caller: donations for domestic violence.

Some woman called looking for donations for domestic violence victims and said that she was in Queensland when I asked. I said that I lived right near Canberra and that we were banned from entering Qld and as far as I was concerned, that ban also applies to my money. Call terminated.

Aussie sounding woman calling herself Lizzie from Next Step Australia, I hung up as I am on the Do Not call list & dislike any calls of this nature.

No one responded when number was answered immediately

Had no answer when asked why I would donate to a UK based charity

said tweed heads . no message left .blocked the number.

Delay when I answered typical of autodial call centres. Accented person, difficult to understand, saying something about charities and wanted to do a "yes/no" survey. Told him "no".

My mobile didn't indicate a possible scam, spam or fraud with this number.
But I don't p/u numbers that aren't in my mobile anyway, especially out of state numbers.

Phone ID said Tweed Heads Number. I called the number back and got a messsage saying "The number you have dialled is not in service"

Caller: A male - possibly Asian accent

VERY persistent, rude and aggressive in his manner. Told him I was unwell and now was not a good time to talk. He persisted regardless. I put the phone down and continued doing my work. Giggled quietly as he repeatedly asked if I was there. He then gave a "due to non-response, this call is terminated" spiel and hung up. I should have wasted his time with a prank response.

I didn't answer. They didn't leave a message. I called back, got a recording that the number was not in service... now blocked

i have had this number (07) 5612 5234 call me for i dont know how many times this and its realy starting to piss me off

Received three calls - two to home phone and one to mobile. When answered no response.
