Yeah, they are telemarketing from a list of phone number they have got (from where?) and will ask your name, address, annual income etc and will like to line you up with Insurance Line about income insurance.

I think I should have denied directly if I ever received any similar calls.

I keep getting missed calls with no voicemail from this number also.
I'll be blocking them, thanks to this advice thanks!
Cheers

Rings on a weekend with no message, who does that, doesn't seem urgent.

I answered the call, got a spiel about life insurance, to which I responded i was happy with my cover and was not interested. Then had the person ask how old I was, to which I replied I was not going to give that information. Was then told I was rude and the person hung up. WTF!!! These people ring unsolicited and try to flog you off products.

They rang me today and no message left. I didn't know who it was so I didn't answer.

They ring me every couple of days, sometimes two or three times a day. Never leave a message. Obviously its marketing or scamming. Thank you all for your comments.

I entered a competition on an email sent to me. Ever since I have had people calling me saying that I consented to being rung. The only way to keep my sanity is to block them. Lesson learned!

I've not answered several calls this week and then when I did I heard a brief burst of what sounded like call center background noise before they hung up. Weird!
