Based advice from this website, I rang the number, and pressed 2 for customer service. I spoke to a very nice, well-spoken man and very politely explained that the phone calls from this number are regarded by us as nothing more than nuisance phone calls, because we do not give to charities who ring up, unsolicited. He was very apologetic, took my number, and advised that it will be taken off their list. It took no more than 2 minutes to do (perhaps I was lucky getting through so quickly). These people are a legitimate company, who I think are paid by charities to ring around businesses. Having said that, however, the girl who rang me this morning, from this number, (after I explained that we don't give to charities who ring up unsolicited) said she wasn't going to ask for money! Not sure why she was ringing then!! Looked up this website, and found, I was indeed correct to politely end the call with her. I explained to the customer service man that businesses get these phone calls ALL THE TIME, and we cannot get any work done. Not sure if it made a difference; nuisance phone calls have become the new normal. Perhaps if enough of us ring the problem numbers and complain, it may make a small difference(?) Just had a call from this number for the 3 time in a week. Hang up when I picked up. This is an offense under the Telecommunications Act. Go straight to the Police.

Yes they are a fund raising organization, with is not a direct charity. They ARE Required to honor DNCR and are actually telemarketers. The employees do get paid and were does this money come from? Yes your donations! So stop giving to these people, which will make it not worth the while to operate.

They got your number from the "Apple Market Residential Listing" Those numbers where compiled several years ago and may have belonged to someone else before you or may have been added before you became a part of the DNC register or before you where listed as a silent number. They are a legitimate business but the reason their staff are so horrible sometimes is because of the management. The staff get treated like sh*t, and can be fired at any minute for anything. Everything they do and stand for (Apart from the charities) is absolute crap. I have a friend who used to work for them and she got fired because she was upset about a call she had made and was told "Maybe your not right for this job" she also watched another staff member who was stressed talk to their manager and was told "stress isnt a real thing its all in your head"

YES i have been getting calls from the ANNOYING whatever they are - i have blocked their number CAN THE IDOIT'S GIVE UP RINGING i am registered with do not call so where the hell did they get my number from....

OMG, it's 8pm on a Friday night again. From now on I will never again donate anything to any organisation that uses this company. I am sick of their phone calls and have posted my decision on each charities Facebook page. Why would anyone support a cause that annoys the s#%& out of it's supporters.

Here's the hot tip Harmony, ringing a phone number up to 6 times a day will NOT make people any more likely to donate to any charity. In fact once I see that many calls from the same number I know it is a telemarketing call and I will NEVER answer it. So regardless of what good work the charities might do, these nuisance call TOTALLY undermine that

They do have a Facebook page, so if you are being harassed or abused don't be shy about posting a comment...

Over these so called charity groups. Most of them are scams anyway. If I wanted to donate I would call them, I can hardly pay my own bills and feed my family . I don't need these vermon on my phone 24hrs a day annoying me. Go harass the millionaires not the working person on the lower side of earning a income

has anyone ever heard of anyone winning a raffle organised by apple marketing group. I think there should be a government inquiry to find out if people are actually winning anything and what percentage of the money is going to charity

Our phone number is not private and so we are listed in the White Pages and apparently are then meant to be fodder for charities and marketing companies to ring us up and demand our time and money and whatever other information they may try to get. I do not answer these unknown numbers/callers at all.

I would like to know though, WHY is it that you have to have to PAY EXTRA to NOT BE called to donate money to charities such as hospitals and The Heart Foundation. Or harrassed by unknown marketing companies, charities and hackers/thieves canvassing neighbourhoods for vacant houses to rob.

I thought the original idea of having a private number and your phone number NOT being in the White Pages was so that boring work colleagues and painful distant relatives and those with breathing problems could not contact you so easily.

My god! They called I hung up. This continued 6 times in under a minute. Thats harassment!

My daughter answered the 1st call and they asked for me by name! She thought is was a friend. Received a missed call every hour on the hour for the rest of the day. They are Apple Marketing & were calling on behalf of the Gold Coast hospital for charity work, which I have donated to once before (that's how they knew my name). When they finally called again I was quick to answer, and I spoke to an understanding lady who told me the details. She promised I would be removed from their list in 10 days. I'll wait & see..... Charities are excluded from 'silent numbers'. Try and answer the call and ask to be removed from their call list.

This number keeps ringing me 3 times a day! So over it!!!!!

The majority of the money raised does not go to the charity so wise up people and do not donate.
