I unplugged my phone and now only use my lan line for the internet.. i emailed and called everyone i care for to tell them mobile phone or email only. Its been great and it gets rid of spam and most importantly phone calls from the mother in law ;)

Just had a call from this number asking us to door knock our street for a fundraiser.
When I explained that he had rung a business and that we send two men out with a truck and that we are to be paid for our time, he realised he had rung a business and then apologised and hung up.
The point here is quite plain, we must be on a marketing disc as telemarketers do not listen to our introduction when we answer an incoming call.
They just start their spiel!!

They keep calling, day after day, any old time. I do not answer. Will they get the message?

it seems obvious that the system is testing for when they get a real answer they can then use that information to either on sell it as a valuable marketing resource or use it themselves... either way they should be stopped

The lady who spoke at the phone had a clear speech and asked for volunteers to collect for Heart Foundation. She alerted me at the beginning of her speech that our conversation was registered. Is it legal ? I lately have been photographed , followed and spoken to by strangers. Now I have to be worry about to be registered and my voice copied at the telephone!

I am on the Do Not Call list but receive many calls from that number. I now watch the screen and lift the receiver to connect (so they pay for the call) and then hang up without speaking to them. They usually are difficult to understand anyway. The latest call was today, July 3 2015

yes exactly, lol, I just checked my phone then and it had a missed call from them, I have now blocked there number, if you have an unknown number calling you, DO NOT answer it since then they know it is a working number, also when answering do not say 'hello, (your name) speaking' then if it is a spammer or someone you don't know, they know your name.

Missed a call from this number only to find it was Apple Marking, however what is funny is their Compliance statement, which reads:
Apple Marketing also complies with the:
Do Not Call Register Act 2006
Privacy Act 1998
Australian Privacy Principles
Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS)
If only they complied with point one: Do Not Call Register Act 2006 !!
Now to find out where they got my number, as it is meant to be a silent number.

It is getting worst with this kind of stupid calls.
It is really annoying and I can't even yell at them, as it is through computers and hangs up all the time.

If they are contracted by a charity and are not one themselves they are breaking the do not call law. Prosecute them now! Otherwise DNC list has no teeth.

This is most likely a timeshare group. They try to get you to attend a presentation promising a $1000. Don't get sucked in.
