I have NOW put a trace on my phone through Telstra.
Whoever is doing this, is breaking the FEDERAL LAW and Tele - communications practice codes and will be charged accordingly. They have also be ringing my mobile number. You picked on the wrong person this time buddy. LOL
Now to all those who want TO STOP TELEMARKETERS CALLING ring this number to register your landline number.... 1300 792 958 the DO NOT CALL REGISTER.

Same as some other comments, got called here in NZ and hung up on. Crazy!

And well yes you can put your landline/telstra number on the DoNot Call Register. But you can't put your voip, mobile, skype, fax, or any other form of telecomunications number on the DoNot Call Register. It was set up by Telstra in association with the Gov't of the day at a time when everyone had at least a homeline.

And even if you have put your landline number on that register & then you use it to sign up to DODO internet, electricity or gas billing or Telstra mobile plans or a host of other companies that sell stuff online or via call centres, they can then keep calling pestering you to buy more stuff off them because by giving them your number you have effectively aggreed to submit yourself to their selling agents.

This number has called me and I have the same problems as everyone else.

Been getting calls from numbers for a while were I go to pick up and no one is there. Honestly thought it was my crappy land line. But tonight they just keep on calling from this same number, every 5 - 10 minutes, must have called at least a dozen times so far, no one is there if I pick up, and I just get a message if I ring back :S

same as above i keep getting these calls on my mobile and home number at least twice a day and everytime i answer it hangs up and when i call back no one answers

yes have been getting calls from the number for awhile now. I get them at different times. They wait for you to speak wait a little then hang up.I'm sure they are up to nogood, scammers for sure.

They have called me in NZ a few times. Its just a hang up. I ring back but it keeps ringing.

Yep! Also received one of those missed calls and when called back an automatic receiver says "no one is available to take your call..." Just wondering if there is any database to find the origin?

Just called them on the number Jo provided, Asked for our name, address and number to be taken off there list.. While denying any knowledge of the Phone Number that keeps calling us all... Nice of them to offer taking our number off a calling list from a number they know nothing about..

Same problem as others above. I answer..no one there. I call back no answer. Been getting calls from this number for about a week now.

Man, now they're calling New Zealand as well by the looks and hanging up... Ah well, least it must cost them a couple of cents each time

Yeah i was working and didn't see that my phone had rang till after work. I tried calling it back twice and i got no answer. I thought it was one of my friends to be honest.

Same. Missed the call and rang back about a minute later and number was engaged. Tried again 5 minutes after that and no answer. Telemarketers for sure.

Thankgod im not going mad!!! Seems like everyone is getting these calls, sick to death of them, and there should be a law against these OS idiots!!!!!

I have been getting this call aswell but instead of just posting useless comments about it, actually read back you will find the info on who is calling you.
It is a tutoring company called 'National Tutoring'. When I searched their website and called into the office the lady was very apolegetic and explained that as they call from an automatic dialler system it can sometimes not detect an answer on the other end which is why it will hang up. She took my number off the list and since then i have not received any calls.
It is actually a legit company and not a scam, they have an ABN and adress listed on their site, the lady was also Australian, not Indian like everyone assumes. Instead of just complaining about it and assuming it is a scam, maybe next time do some research and sort it out, or better yet, sign up for the do not call register.
Call the contact info listed on the website www.nationaltutoring.com.au and just politely ask to be taken off the list, they do not intentionally call repeatedly and many of the telemarketers are not even aware that the dialler system id doing it.
I know it is really annoying, but just remember that person on the other end of the phone is not trying to annoy you, they are just doing their job.

Just called me again at 3.54pm. THEY ARE TELEMARKETERS called "NATIONAL TUTORING" somewhere down the GOLD COAST for all those interested.Now all you fools know.
