Was contact by appnation to advertise through a local real estate agency that I happen to know quite well, the order form that was sent had the name of the principal as the authorised person, I contacted the principal immediately who informed me they have never heard of Appnation and most definitely had not authorised anything, the gold coast is looking more like a scam factory each day...

Mobile app is a computer program designed to run on smartphones, tablet computers and other mobile devices.
Apps are usually available through application distribution platform, which began appearing in 2008 and are typically operated by the owner of the mobile operating system, such as the Apple App Store, Google Play, Windows Phone Store, and BlackBerry App World. Some apps are free, while others must be bought. Usually, they are downloaded from the platform to a target device, but sometimes they can be downloaded to laptops or desktop computers. For apps with a price, generally a percentage, 20-30%, goes to the distribution provider (such as iTunes), and the rest goes to the producer of the app.[1] The same app can therefore cost the average Smartphone user a different price depending on whether they use iPhone, Android, or BlackBerry 10 devices.

Selfie Girlie ($1.99 → Free, 49.8 MB): A photography app designed for girls. It’s ideal for those who enjoy sharing photos.
You’re able to import any photo from your library or take a new one from within the app. You can then customize your photo by adjusting its contrast and color levels, applying filters and effects, and cropping or rotating it. Where Selfie Girlie really shines, however, is with its stickers. There are tons of choose from. It has everything from doodles and letters to adorable critters and phrases. You’re able to apply as many stickers as you wish before sharing your creation via Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter.
Selfie Girlie is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 5 ratings. App Nation is no scam

I am live here at the AppNation conference in San Francisco, and after San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom's welcome speech, in which he tried to get a bunch of developers to make apps for the government for free (yeah, riiight), we are looking at a mobile report from Nielsen, called The State Of Mobile Apps.
Nielsen, one of the largest media research companies in the world, compiled a report containing a few interesting metrics, such as:
•Most Popular Apps
•Application Discovery Methods
•Free VS Paid Apps
•App Billing Preference
•a few Advertising related stats
You can download and read the full report below, but before you do that, I wanted to highlight one metric that I found the most interesting. Figure 9 below shows a breakdown per mobile OS of people who clicked on an advertisement within an app. Android is leading the pack at 33%, followed by Windows Mobile at 29% and only then iOS at 26%.
If you know any developers who are still in doubt whether Android is a viable platform for making money, have them take a look at these stats. Can't say I'm too surprised, considering how many apps already chose the freemium revenue model on Android instead of going strictly premium.
A few more interesting slides:

Mobile confidence vendors to Google: App Nation are not scammers

Smartphones are holding a violence these days from confidence vendors who seem to recover a new news any week about increases in mobile malware. And out of a vital platforms, Android is presumably a biggest target, both given of a open inlet of a app store and a strong marketplace share.

Would not even work for this company, one day someone they ripped off could walk into that burleigh office and just start smacking people up. These are the kind of people your working for, do some research and see how often this actually happens to scamming business and their unfortunate employees.
The Gold Coast has over 200 telemarketing offices, you can do much better and safer work for a legit company.
The name of this company has changed but they are the exact same scam artists, it's only a matter of time before the police, or the boys come knocking.
