they call me a million times a day but my phones always on silent and have never answered it what do they say to you and what do they want?

I have a special group of contacts all with the name "Ignore Telemarketer" stored in my phone.  Whenever I get one of these unsolicited phone calls from a business I do not know, I google the number when I get home (like I did here) and if it is a telemarketer it gets added to the list.  If they call back it comes up as "ignore telemarketer" on the screen of my phone as the crossmatch to the CND and I know not to bother answering it.

Agreed, yes! I got quite annoyed when I got a sales call from austar....but the he did sound quite on to it and was really engaging.

As for it, I now have three months free austar, no contract and all I have to pay is $43 a month from the 4th month onwards, if I want to keep it.

I've had calls from this number at peculiar hours on my home phone; it often stops ringing just as I get there. I ring back and I get an American accented recording saying that the system has a malfunction. I now have also had three of these calls to my mobile phone and am very angry after phoning back to get the same message. Where I was caught is that the phone number is a bit like my daughter's work number, so I called back withut thinking each time. I have a silent number at home and my mobile is not listed - where are they getting this information from? Is it possible that there are lists being onsold by government or other agencies?

I am sick of receiving these calls 3 to 4 times a day, I want it to stop, my mobile is for emergency calls only, I have never requested telemarketing calls or do I want them. how can I stop Austar from ringing me, I don't even have an account with them anymore.
