Said they were from the Victorian Energy Upgrade scheme. Would not give any contact information so I could verfy whom they were.

The person on the other end of the phone said they were from the National call block, stating they will add my number to block all international calls from sales or scam callers etc. The person then wanted me to start to verify my details which I thought very strange - phishing.

Caller: they told me they were from the do not call register

the man withan indian accent asked for my name when i told him that i was not the person he asked for. I asked him then who he was before identifying myself. He said he was from the do not call register. i started to think he was ok when he said he would stop me from gettiing international calls. I got extremely creeped out when he started to tell me when my credit card expires. I asked him for verification of who he was, i asked him for a number i could ring to verify, I queried why the do not call register would have my credit card details. He backed off when i told him i was uncomfortable with the call.
