Usual story. Number rang at 10.48am this morning. Didn't reply when I picked up the phone.

Called 9 times today. Finally answered, no response followed by an automated ‘Bye.’

Solar rebate scam

Sick to death of these phone calls this one about solar panels. How do you block them on land lines?

9 times in one day , 5! on another ... insisting I spoke about solar rebates .... now prank calling my message bank . I have blocked them . How do they keep getting away with annoying everyone ?

Scam callers, we automatically divert them to our "unwanted caller" answering machine and let them try to scam that. The caller chatted to it for over 7 minutes - scam the scammer!

First called an elderly relative, who's deaf, and she gave them my mobile number... thanks, that's probably going to be the gift which keeps on giving :-) After a brief conversation when I politely tried to say "No" a few times, I just put the phone down on the desk for a couple of minutes, then hung up. Next time, I must hang up while I'm talking pleasantly, so they think the line's just gone dead. ;-)

Up to 4 calls a day. No response when I answer the phone. Only call my landline number.

After answering I had to wait (ie robot calling then on hold waiting for operator). Caller wanting to see if I was eligable for government solar rebate. Scam!

Got the usual 5 seconds of silence before the heavily accented caller spoke, asking if I was.."my name"..I denied my identity and he then asked to speak to the owner of the house..I said there was no owner and that i was renting so he said OK and hung up

Hung up after outgoing message!

Tried ringing back - blocked.
Rang me again - got a 10 second wait. Then goodbye.

Wanted to know if we had solar. They sounded Indian and hanged up on me as soon as we said we already had solar panels.

I returned call and the number is disconnected. Wtf
