I suggest every time you receive one of these calls you hang up and put a complaint into local police station over harassing phone calls - eventually the police will get fed up ?because it all has to be logged and takes up police time?

PCYC is a registered charity, and as such, they are exempt from the Do Not Call Register. Which is wrong. They are a real pest.

FED up with PCYC. They called a few weeks ago, act all familiar and friendly, VERY evasive about why they were ringing. When I insisted she tell me why she was phoning, she told me 'if you would be quite, I'd be able to tell you'. But she again went on, chatting as though we were best friends. When she AGAIN waffled on, I asked her was she ringing for donations, she again got narky with me, and hung up. I then rang the PCYC to tell them to to take me off ALL their mailing lists. Didn't happen. Got another call today. FED UP.

Very smug caller, acting all familiar and friendly. When I asked them where they got my details from, they said that was confidential. When I asked them to tell me exactly why they had rung instead of all the confusion job, she got angry with me and hung up.

Made one donation, now harassed regularly for further donations, despite asking repeatedly to be taken off their list.

Continual, unwanted calls. It's no wonder there are so many bad reports about them!

THEY CLAIM TO BE PCYC FUNDRAISERS, HAVE BLOCKED THE NUMBER HAS THEY RING AT LEAST A DOZEN TIMES A WEEK.

Got the same problem,a few calls from this number in the last 2 weeks. I've blocked it but somehow these guys are getting through. Am just not answering.

The call is made on behalf of the PCYC but not the PCYC itself. It's a company PCYC engage for fundraising. As such they are exempt from conforming with the Do Not Call Register and it is not illegal for them to phone you. As soon as I get the call (which I usually miss) I make a donation to the PCYC in my state using the Interweb and when they finally get through to me I tell them the story and they politely hang up within 30 seconds and then wait another 3 months before they ring me again ... and then the game starts over :)

Some years ago, I asked the call centre worker if they would please stop calling me if I made a donation. I did and they stopped for 1 or 2 years. Now they call me at least every week, sometimes every day or twice in one day. I won’t donate again. They are too annoying!!

If the number starts with (07) 3905 26xx, it’s them. Block it. Don’t answer. Unless you want to support PCYC and their phone harassment computer.

Four phone calls to my mobile phone in one day yet when I answer, no one speaks.
