I work for RACQ and I sometimes call out on this number. If we call you from this number, we are most likely letting you know that your roadside assistance product is overdue for payment and are giving you the opportunity to get it up to date over the phone straight away or cancel it if you don't need it any more. If you let your roadside assistance product lapse for more than 3 months, you will need to pay an additional surcharge to get immediate service. We are calling you to help you avoid that situation. If you feel uncomfortable about paying over the phone, you can still visit an RACQ branch, or call us back on our main number 13 1905 or register for online services and pay through racq.com.au

Caller: RACQ If you receive a call from this number, it is RACQ wanting to know if you would like to continue with a roadside assistance or 'Lifestyle' product you already have with them. These products stay in renewal mode and do not lapse off RACQ's database until 3 months after the due date, just in case you did not receive your renewal or if you accidentally forgot about it. After that 3-month grace period, if you call RACQ to join for roadside assistance when you no longer have a current roadside assistance product with them, and you need roadside assistance that same day, you will most likely be charged a surcharge. The call is purely a courtesy in case you either overlooked your renewal or you did not receive it due to change of address or failed delivery.
