Caller: Australian Red Cross All you people whinging about Red Cross harassing you constantly... Grow up and stop being so selfish! Save the number and either don't answer or answer and politely say No Thank-You! You would all cry poor me if and when the time comes to need one of the many products that are made from either whole blood or plasma. Cancer patients (1 in almost 2 Australians), burn victims, chronic diseases, the list goes on. Stop complaining, not hard to say no thank you. Only takes an hour to donate and it is probably one of the cheapest ways to donate. Give Blood = Give Life

Bloody hell, they call every week. Surely there has to be a rule against harassing people all the damn time
When I have time to give blood I will book the appointment, not because you called every single week.
If blood donations werent needed so badly, your stupid calls would of stopped me from giving altogether.

Caller: Australian Red Cross It's the red cross ringing to see you can donate blood as you haven't donated in some time and they are looking for your blood type, answer the phone and let them know your situation and ask them to update your file if you don't want them calling. Donating blood can save lives and who knows when you yourself might need it. It's a simple process to donate and think of the treats you get afterwards

Caller: Red cross blood donation They ring and just silence. After 5 seconds they hang up. At first I thought it was a scammer or idiot as they phone every week and never leave a message. Today I returned the phone call and the person answered for Red Cross blood donations.

Have you let them know you will make an appointment when you have time, and asked them to stop calling? When I told them I couldn't donate for a while they made a note and didnt call me for 6 months

Caller: Lifeblood Lifeblood calling regarding donations. Usually they go through a checklist to ensure you’re able to donate again, but this time they hung up the second I answered.

Caller: Lifeblood Once you've registered you contact with www.donateblood.com.au, the call center will follow up and then send a text to advise their calling for next few days. There is an option STOP or NO CALL in the next couple of weeks. But then they will call you again :)

Caller: Australian Red Cross Just answer and ask them not to call you anymore. Worked for me. They do still call to check in after a donation, but I understand that and don't mind.

Big Pharma use plasma to produce medical products. Guess who uses this, we do when we are sick.

Caller: (07) 3838 1215 Are you aware that 90% of blood products go to big Phama and the beauty industry especially plasma as its more valuable than oil. And hospitals have to pay $$$ for their blood products and the donor gets nothing!

Caller: Australian Red Cross For the past 11 weeks, I've received weekly calls each Friday from this number. I don't answer – at first because I didn't recognise the number, the caller didn't leave a message, and so I assumed it was spammer – but now it's because, although I know the caller is the Australian Red Cross, the calls are becoming incessant. Sure – I probably should donate blood more than I do.
