Call received from (07) 3806 2381, Thursday 24 August 2017.
Initially no sound, typical of auto dial from a call centre.
Muted from my end, as I often do with such calls, pending someone coming on and saying anything worth hearing.
Several seconds later call centre background sounds, then stupid sounding young bloke muttered something unintelligible, perhaps his name or a fake name, then said "I'm calling from Australian Injury Help Line", "this call about your accident, you had a car accident some time back, right?"
"Yes, that's correct."
"And how long back your accident, how long ago?"
"It was August 1989."
"Oh was 1989. [faint amused laugh]"
"Yes"
"How old you are?"
"It's the only accident I've ever been in of any significance, and I guess that must be the one you were referring to. Is that correct?"
part way through that statement he said "Sorry?"
then "Sorry sir?"
"I said that's the only motor vehicle accident of any significance that I've ever been involved in so I guess that must be the one you were referring to. Is that correct?"
call cut off there

Suggested I'd had a car accident and wanted to assist me as they are injury management- what rubbish! As soon as I'd said "no" I hadn't had an accident- they promptly hung up. When I rang the number back - it said" OPTUS suggests the number yuh have called has been disconnected!" SCAMMERS FOR SURE!
