Caller: (07) 3740 7000 "Survey" about people's travel movements. Starts with general questions like post code, age, etc. then spins off into asking details like name, address (and they already have my phone number). This is getting too personal and I hung up without giving my details. I recommend you DO NOT participate. It sounds like data harvesting to me!

Caller: Survey Claimed to be a government department doing research on business registrations and changes to government policies. I was dubious…he started with asking my age and postcode, but when I refused to give any further information due to my doubts he hung up on me. Gut intuition was correct… it was a scam.

Caller: Market research Has called twice a day for the past week. Phone is programmed to automatically reject known spam calls so goes to voicemail and doesn't leave a message. When ringing back, says Australian Market and Social Research Society.

Caller: Simon Eastwell Someone calling himself Simon Eastwell said he was calling on behalf of World Bank who is conducting business research to guide government policy. Had a "few simple screening questions to get started and see if the business qualifies". Yeah right !!!

Calls pretty much every day. My phone is set to punch unknown callers to voice mail snd they never leave a message. Certainly not legitimate. Nobody calls 50 times in 2 months and never leaves a message. Wonder why the telcos dont stop this... but I guess Telstra and the rest just make too much money from these scam calls. Also uses several numbers in the range like (07) 3740 7016
