just scammers. I get sms from various numbers saying things like 'CMA Reminder -a $50 repayment is due on (date)for your CommBank account (ref number). please call (07) 3620 3975 if any delay.
Just ignore the pricks. They keep trying using other banks as well. All bullsh*t I don't have accounts at some of them.

Caller: Charter Mercantile - www.chartermerc.com.au I received an SMS "CMA Reminder -a $50 repayment is due on (date)for your CommBank account (ref number). please call (07) 3620 3975 if any delay."
I called them as I do not bank with CommBank and advised that I believe this is a scam. They confirmed they represent Charter Mercantile and requested my name which I refused to provide and threatened Consumer Affairs. They divulged the name of the person they were after, and once I advised this was definitely not me, they confirmed they may have been given an incorrect phone number and agreed to remove my number. Appears to be a legitimate company, however, my phone number has been provided by a dodgy debtor. Hopefully, no more SMS messages anymore.

Did you just change rental properties before you got the call?

They consistently text me never saying who they are. Always asking me to contact a different name each time. Very annoying. Have googled them and they are a debt collection agency - and I have NO debt. Idiots!
