These guys are scammers, they want to verify some details so they can start building a database on you. This information is used for ID fraud. If you confirm with them just your name will start a never ending barrage of calls and harassment. Don't engage with them or tell them anything.

I received several random calls and emails after responding to what appeared to be a standard Woolworths survey. Only after I realised it wasn't, I was on high alert but these scammers still had my name, number and email, and a few more details and they sold it to marketing companies. I didn't know how to get out of the loop. So, when I realised (too late) that the survey was fake, I expected cold calls. Everyone who called had purchased that information, SO my first response was - 1. Where did you get my number? 2. I gave no authority for you to call me. 3. I do not want your product - ever! 4. Remove me immediately from your call list!
If they continued, I asked what part of my response didn't they understand? I want you to stop talking right now and remove me from your list. Most said they would. A couple I had to hang up on. I think this number was the latter.
DONT GIVE ANY DETAILS TO COLD CALLERS. Do stand your ground and tell them they have acquired your details without your permission. Request that they delete your details immediately! Then block the number.

Some insurance telemarketer cold calling trying to get me an appointment with their financial planners (I think she said from Guardian or something like that). I kept the lady on the phone for nearly 10 minutes just talking rubbish to her without giving her any details. She cracked it at me at the end for wasting her time :)

Yep. Looks like a computer checks when you answer before harassing further. Added to my blocked callers list.

HAHA I wish more people did this to scammer callers, talk to them in a sexy voice and say your playing with yourself and rubbing your nether regions thinking of them, put them in the embarrassing situation if they even have a soul and can feel emotions

Lady rang from some Insurance line. She told me she wanted to discuss with me some unwarranted costs that I may be occurring in my Superannuation. I thanked her and said it wasn't necessary as I work for a Superannuation Fund. I wasn't rude at all, however she hung up immediately as I was obviously of no use to her. Unreal how these vultures behave.

The lady claims to be from Coronis Real Estate trying to "help" me with my pre-approved finance and get a better rate. Told them I'm not interested and hung up.

Tried to tell me I'd made an online enquiry with "Coronis Real Estate" and then asked if I was interested in buying or selling... I asked him what enquiry and when, that he was referring to (if it was legit it was awhile ago but he should know if it was buy or sell anyway), he seemed confused so I hung up.
