Caller: Indian guy claiming to be from Amazon

Should have hung up sooner, but decided to find out where he was going.
He claimed someone was attempting to make a suspicious iPhone purchase and then tried to get me to install the Anydesk remote desktop app on my phone to "assist" with the canellation procedure. It is too easy for these thieves to try dipping their hands into the pockets of gullible people.

Caller: Claimed to be from NAB Fraudulent Dept

I usually don't answer these numbers especially when it comes up as suspected spam, but am expecting a call from an 07 number. She said she was from the Fraudline Department of the NAB calling to advise a pending payment of $649 to a David Johnson in NZ and wanted my NAB ID to cancel the transaction. When I said I was sceptical and asked for a number to call her back on, she gave me 132221, I googled it and it's for the Commonwealth bank!
She put me on to her supervisor, Savvy who gave me his employee ID. Never has a bank officer give me their ID before. He tried to be very convincing and to get me to stay on the line, but I ended up hanging up on him.
I called my bank and was advised they've had many of these reports today. Stay vigilant and be careful. I feel sorry for the poor people that get trapped by these scammers.

Call from this number (07) 3521 3058 today 19th April 2022. Screen said from Brisbane. I didn't answer. If it is important they'll call me back. Then got text saying missed call but no message so I don't answer them. If was important from somebody/business, they would say eg dentist, Dr, Specialist etc they always leave a message for me with my name. Thanks to above messages re Amazon amd Mastercard. Checked my accounts and no money taken out. Fed up with how they even get our mobile numbers in first place. I guess it isn't hard to just get one number and then call all combinations.

Caller: Amazon scam call

Automated service saying Amazon Prime membership would be renewing at the rate of $99 in a few days. If I didn’t want this to occur I should press 1 to speak to someone about cancelling.

Amazon prime membership is $59 annually, not $99. If you’re going to scam people at least get the amount right. I would hope that anyone who has an Amazon Prime membership is aware they can easily cancel their subscription on the website.

Automated service claiming my Amazon prime membership was expiring in a few days and would auto renew at $99/year. If I didn’t want this to occur I should press 1 to speak with customer service agent. Hung up the call and blocked it from my phone.
