A woman with a Canadian accent called me trying to sell automated trading services, something relating to Bitcoin trading.
The woman knew my name and phone number. When I asked how they obtained my contact details the woman said I must have clicked on an ad and shared my details expressing interest in their trading services.
I told the woman I have no interest in Bitcoin so there is no chance I would have knowingly submitted my details for something like this. I have requested for my details to be removed from their database. The woman said she would ‘absolutely do that’ and then asked ‘what happened Emma, why don’t you want to earn money’.
I politely ended the call but could hear the woman still trying to run through her spiel.
