Caller: Diabetes Australia I'm not sure why I was unable to call the number back initially, I eventually got through. Just a follow up call on my recent registration for the NDSS, making sure I got the information pack and my diabetic card etc.
If you were recently diagnosed diabetic or registered on the NDSS that's what this will be about. Not sure why people are calling it a scam.
They don't leave messages as a privacy protection measure.

Keep getting daily calls from this number. Then no one answers the phone. Ring back and the number is not available.

Caller: (07) 3206 1057 just block the call - i do that as a matter of course for numbers i don't recognise and it works fine for me. I have escaped being scammed and that is all that matters.

Caller: Diabetes Qld Relax, this is a legitimate outgoing number for Diabetes Qld. If you've just been diagnosed with diabetes, they call you to make sure you have the NDSS card, and if you have any questions. They can't leave a voicemail due to privacy laws. You can call them back on 1800 177 055.

Have received uninvited calls from this number for two consecutive days now. Pisses me off that my number gets leaked / divulged to these scammers. Don't trust Dept of Health to keep your details private.
