Received at least 5 missed calls with message left saying she’s from Suncorp. Leaves a 1300 number that upon google search doesn’t come up anywhere. Also from what I see there’s a list of different companies people have commented.

I have no insurance cover with GIO. He wanted to talk to me about an "incident" but firstly wanted my name and address. I asked him what the incident was but he refused to tell me anything about it. Told him that I wasn't telling him anything if he wasn't going to tell me anything. He lost interest then and hung up.

I got a call from (07) 3470 2800 claiming to be from AAMI. I don't have an AAMI policy, but do have GIO. The call went to voice mail. They asked me to call back on 1300 041 890. The caller said his name was "Rajit". Interestingly, searching the number in Google, does bring up AAMI results, but looking at those AAMI webpages, they don't show this number at all (maybe it was an older AAMI number?) In any event, DO NOT TRUST. It's an obvious scam.

Missed call on my phone. I didn't recognise the number so I Googled it that brought me to this site. I'm not surprised that it's a scam though I don't suspect any of the Suncorp Group of insurers has anything directly to do with it. Perhaps the scam callers are having the calls diverted to their intended subject via an insurer's number. I'm not sure if that's possible though.
I have had similar calls from these people before who we call 'ambulance chasers'. They try to obtain personal details of the people they call at random. Sometimes they're successful after which they refer the particulars of their subjects to certain law firms who then initiate a 'No Win, No Fee' claim against a CTP insurer for personal injuries, most of which are exaggerated in any case. The callers often receive a commission for successful cases.
Make of that what you will.
Don't get sucked in by giving anyone you don't know ANY of your personal details. Sometimes they call you making out that they know of you and already have your details but just need for 'security' or 'ID' reasons for you to confirm who they are speaking with. They really don't have any of your details but every once in a while they come across naïve people who aren't clued up and don't know the difference, believing that when the caller claims to be representing an insurer, they MUST be calling legitimately.

(Turned out to be a valid caller) Have received a call from this number claiming to be AAMI claims department. I have an existing claim, so this is imminently possible. When asked for my personal details, I asked them to verify that they actually have them and are who they purported to be. The person was not willing or able to do a cross-validation / authentication to verify. When I explained that I would not give them the details without valid authentication, the person said they would send me an email with valid claims/contact details so I could call them. I since called AAMI and they have no update to my claims record about any such call.
Turns out that the caller was valid (AAMI Claims Administration) it's just the process that is a pain...

I've been getting calls from this number, I haven't answered because I am already suspicious and to see it's all scam calls is concerning... and from insurers which I have no affiliation with. Number blocked.

An indian man rang me to discuss an insurance claim I was involved in last month and he wanted me to clarify my home address. I told them I am already with RACQ insurance and if you need information you can go through them. He then told me he has my address and I hung up on him.

Got phone call from this number just now, and immediately ask my name address and other information , and i ask why you need my information ,she said I need to verify you first before answering your questions . WTF, why should i give them my information first .
If it is a proper business or claim against me ,they should tell me their purpose first instead verifying me first.
