Caller: Pallavi This was a genuine call from AAMI insurance. I called them back on their actual 13 number and the person confirmed it was a call from them.

Caller: GIO This was a genuine contact from GIO re a claim. Unlike a 13 number it seems to go direct to individual staff who come across as a little less 'polished' than call centre staff, but while I was a bit suspicious, it was a fully legit and useful call.

Caller: Suncorp Missed a call, and called back. It was Suncorp. I have a claim with them & waited for the consultant to confirm what they were calling about. It was something only my insurance company would know about. So safe to call, no scam. Also seems to be the fastest way to contact claims as I had no hold time on this number, unlike the 45min wait on their 13 number i'd had the day prior.

Caller: Suncorp, GIO Received an email mentioned that I missed a call regarding a claim. The claim no and the incident date and location were matched. It is a genuine no. But the problems are they didn't identify themselves who they are when they answer the call!!

Caller: Claimed to be from GIO Claimed to be from GIO and asked for identifying personal info but I said I had no current claim with GIO and it was suspicious. Gave me their number to call back. I called GIO's number online and they had no record of it. Even more suspicious.
