3 calls I answered 1st and last one and the last call there were men laughing on the other line. 1st call no answer and hung up and I declined the 2nd.

I used an online comparison tool for comprehensive car insurance and received this call after I had already change insurers. Will the number block now based on these other comments.

I understand why they do this mind of marketing, but there is a reason that I do online quotes first. All the comparison sites do not cover all insurance companies. If I find out any info online. I then prefer to think about my options and not be hassled by salespeople over and over again. This is worse than spam, because they just don't let up -- probably because they are underpaid telemarketers who need sales to get the commission. I find these sorts of calls, very offputting and have previously and deliberately not done business with these companies for that reason.

Same here: did an online quote with Budget Direct and received a call from this number a short while later. I answered with a simple "yes' and they hung up.

Filled in a form to get a quote for pet insurance. This number has been calling ever since. I didn't want a phone call or I would have called the insurance company myself!

Lots of calls after getting insurance quotes online. No one speaks when you answer always silent. Blocked number but now receiving lots of answer phone messages which are also silent.

Received a call from this number. As soon as I said Hello I started hearing recorded music, nothing else.

Budget Direct. Not cheaper by any means. Annoying call immediately after i obtained quote. Didnt want to speak with someone and dont want anyone hounding me. If i think it is cheap I will call them. Blocked number as they will call and call again.

Budget direct car insurance...they are a pain in the ass.I did an online quote and the harassment hasn't stopped, they used my number to call at all hours. I have blocked them.

I think you'll find you gave them permission when you accepted the T's & C's at the start of the quote.

kept calling me but not responding when I answered. 4 times this morning. My mum in law died today so I so I don't really need creepy phone calls today. I see others say it's to do with insurance, I was looking for car insurance quotes yesterday so it all adds up.
Thank you to everyone who has bothered to comment, I can happily block the number now and go on with stressing about important things and not worry i forgot to inform a long lost relative of the current family tragedy.

Filled out insurance quotes for my mum - APIA and Virgin Money. No phone number given and call received at 8:30pm - unacceptable time to be calling someone.

Compare the Market website, Completed online form to get top 10 home insurance quotes. This number has called me twice. when answered it ends the call. Number shows it is from Redcliffe region in QLD.. Have now Blocked this number..
