I was there when inal darts was formed in My parents lounge room after months of grumblings from local dart player around the inala area which included subburbs through to gailes. My father Henry Victor Gilbert took on the very first presidency as ther wer not enough people to form a vote and as it was his idea to defect from Ipswich Darts association he wanted to do it. My Mother reluctantly took on treasurer and they hade enough players for a small team. The players included Barbara Marchant Julie Gilbert Henry Victor Gilbert and Dave Bates. Their First ever Junior team was made up of Spider Marchant Ronnie Marchant and Evelyn Marchant myself Ita Jennifer Gilbert Eamonn Gilbert and Leslie Gleeson. Just wanted everyone to know that the first president althought not officially elected was my dad as he had the courage to leave ipswich darts and create a new divison with the help of a few friends.
