This caller asked had my name and said he was asking about an accident repair on behalf of my insurance company. He eventually asked about some money I hadn't collected due to no blame. When I questioned him further as to why I would get money when no one else was involved, he rang off.

Caller: I don't know My mum keeps getting called by this number almost everyday. Seems like a website in the past she gave her personal information to sold or leaked her information to scammers. Just block the number and hang up.

Scam call just now, knew my name. Lady with Irish-ish accent regarding a MV accident within the last 12 months, hung up when I said she had a wrong number.

Got a second call from these guys saying I'd been in an accident. First British female caller new my name, but hung up after I denied an incident. Second caller was a British male. I went along and told him I'd been in an accident, then I informed him there were 12 people involved. He responded with 'your taking the piss' and hung up.. How ironic.

When I answered, they hung up. It is annoying, seems to be a scam as the others reported here.

Esure company asking about a motor accident I was involved in. When I explained that I don't drive, he switched saying it was an accident I was involved in as a passenger. I told him that couldn't be possible and he hung up.

The caller asked for me by name, he had an Irish accent and said he was from either Esure or Insure about a recent accident I had and, before he could say anymore, I told him to stop sh*tting me and stop trying to scam people. He hung up.

Called me by my full name and said "We have reason to believe you were involved in a motor vehicle accident recently" I said "No, that is incorrect" and they immediately hung up on me.

Got a call from a lady with an Irish accent (said she was from Esure and they work "on behalf" of all the major insurance companies) saying that I was entitled to between $20,000 and $50,000 because of an accident I was apparently in. Wanted all my details. Said they would line up a solicitor to visit me to sign papers so I could get the money. When I said I wasn't interested she tried a guilt trip, saying that I didn't ask to be in an accident, that I didn't ask to have medical issues because of it (I wasn't and don't). I hung up after laughing very loudly down the phone.

They rang me asking me about an accident I had 12 months ago, problem is they had my married name and I have been divorced for 18 years and have been using my maiden name for at least 15 years. Sounds like a scam to get your bank account details.

Caller had my name, which is worrying as my number is not listed under my name! Female caller with Asian accent, asking about my car accident (the one I never had). Told her to bugger off & hung up. I called back to hear message that the number wasn't in service... Someone is obviously selling their database, as I don't know how they would have my number connected to my mobile.
