Yep, I too did the online quote last night & here they are calling by 9.30am next morning, on a Saturday. They were rather expensive too, so I'm glad I chose the other option. Hope they wake up to the FACT that they are alienating people & killing potential future business

Caller: YOUI Insurance I just wanted an online quote - they haven't stopped calling me. It has totally put me off them as a company, I don't care how much their premium is now.

It is now 11.50 am and I have already received 5 calls, I don't answer the phone to numbers I don't know. They have also sent me a message with a pin number. We have been with our insurance company for over 10 years and have no intention of changing. I am very careful about giving out my mobile number so I don't know how the hell they got it. Even if I was to change companies after this behaviour and reading other people's experiences. I definately won't EVER go with YOUI. ....as I was typing this I received another call from them! I agree BOYCOTT YOUI!!

Definitely Youi - extremely painful to deal with. Don't call - stop calling I have NO interest in speaking with anyone which is why I clicked ONLINE QUOTE. if ANYONE can advise how to stop this I will be forever thankful. this sucks. my phone is constantly ringing - 5times a day at least. It's been 3 days and there are no signs of them backing down. It's this sly misleading trick that has put me off them altogether. No interest in getting a quote because there is no trust when they pull a dodgy on you just in the quoting process. I have registered on the do not call registry and blocked their number. No matter their price, it is just not worth the hassle.

No sooner had I completed YOUI's info online than my mobile rang showing (07) 3166 4800. She had the hide to start by saying "is that John?". Instead of telling her to "F**K OFF" I was very polite, telling her to "BUGGER OFF" instead. Don't care about the cost now - will be staying with NRMA.

Just wanted an online quote, finished their stupid questions only to be informed that I required a call to organise any further insurance.... If I went online, generally that means I don't have time to call... So why call?!? Woken up four times this morning by this number and two others. NOT HAPPY. What a joke. Now blocked and a complaint lodged with the company and with the ACC. Total waste of time with this lot!

No David, you are the one who is ignorant (or perhaps quite dull?).
What occurs is people go online for a qoute. Most companies will give an online qoute, but not youii. they go through some crap about you being 'preferred' as a customer, then get refused a qoute unless you speak with their (pushy) sales staff on the phone who will simply waste your time for ages, then hope to get you to sign up straight away.
They then continue to call you, even if you advise you aren't buying that day or CANT EVEN INSURE WITH THEM.
They are total time wasters and most likely selling a sh*tty product if this is the way they do business (relying on HEAVY tv advertising and hard selling by sales staff).
Oh, and Yes, my (home insurance) qoute was 30% dearer than a 'normal' insurance company despite me being 'preferred' and ticking numerous 'low risk' boxes such as somebody home at all times, no gas, no tall trees, deadlocks everywhere, etc......

And ringing, and ringing and text messages and more ringing from a bunch of different numbers. f*ck you, YOUI!
