We got your number from an on-line survey you took! This is just what they are told to say. I have changed my number and have never given out the new number and have never done any survey, on-line or by phone. Yet they have managed to get my new number.

they rang my husband's number and asked for me by name. I am on the do not call register. Insisted on asking me about Insurance Line. I refused, asking how they had the phone number and my name - was told my number was supplied by Australian Data Services. They tried to get me to talk about insurance but I asked to end the call. Very annoyed at this underhand way of getting to talk to someone who doens't wsh to be called! And very annoyed at Australian Data Services, who is clearly selling our private information!

Yes, I agree. Now, if I don't recognise the number I let it go to voice mail on the understanding (my understanding) that if the call is important, the caller will leave a message. When they never do, I know I was correct in not answering the call.

Despite having my number permanently registered on the do not call register, this number has ignored it.
