indian call centre guy claiming to be from telstra. wanting to arrange a time for a sales rep to meet with me

This forum says they are from phone companies but yesterday I recvd a call from this number but it was an Indian sounding dude selling solar power. Did not listen to a word I told him, just talks over the top of you to arrange a time for some other wanker to visit you. Annoying, pushy and very in your face.

Claims to be ringing on behalf of optus since then blocked number be wise to put pin on accounts for telstra optus for phone enquiries as they can get your name dob extra security for unauthorised access to ones account

I called back number (07) 3137 9400 reached IVR for a company called AVP Solutions.

Although they are a Telstra partner, I cannot fault the service I received from Richard. Not only was he professional and really helped me, he was only a phone call away, I prefer this than speaking to 5 other consultants on the phone.

Missed call on home line x 2 & mobile x 2 within 5 minutes today. Annoying to be pestered on a Saturday at home. Apparently NBN now in our rural area. If I want NBN info I will find it myself.

Same experience as others regarding Indian call centre guy trying to make an appointment for digital line upgrade for NBN. Further investigations revealed that the company name of AVP Solutions (http://avpsolutions.com.au/).

Yeh, pushy as but not Telstra, might be a contractor? Claim to be setting appointments because High Speed Broadband coming soon and will optomise your stuff to connect?
