On the fourth time it called, I answered and it was "Shannon from AAMI" - my car insurance had not been renewed, (because I went with a better insurer) he wanted to call me next year when it is up for renewal to see if they can offer better price! Very disappointed with AAMI, will eventually move all my insurance elsewhere..

Shannon from AAMI - querying why I had not renewed a car policy ( I had gone with another company) - asking to allow them to call back to and try to beat next year's premium; Rang several times over 2 days before I answered to find out who this was.

Aha, after reading the above posts it all makes more sense now. Am guessing the flood of calls with no messages that I've received the last few days is from AAMI. I didn't renew my car insurance with them I moved to RACV. ....So this is what they do if they think you've forgotten to pay your bill, or possibly not received it (for all they know!!) No concern at all for the fact I could be driving around uninsured - @rseholes. No, they don't do a courtesy call to let you know they've not rec'd your payment, they just barrage you with a stack of silent calls. scum.

Also a phone number for a debt collection agency that issues fake invoices to scam people.
The energy australia scam comes from these guys.
Spoke to them once and it ended up with the calltaker screaming at me to pay a debt I never had.
Left the matter to qld police and the ACCC...

This is harassment... I have told them not to phone me (for marketing)... This has been a verbal instruction. That should be sufficient.
I have had 3 call in total this Friday morning and its is only 11am so far. I will have to report this to the telecom ombudsmen as its suncorp - I just have to shop for another insurance company and specifically make sure that I not been tag for these type of abusive call - ( 3 calls, by 11am that is 1 each hour) (( close to harassment)). if they Keep going and that becomes an official complaint for STALKING a existing customer )).
Have the evidence as its on my phone... each time they phone... and I will report this...

Thanks for the clarification greatly appreciated, I didn't answer the call. After reading your post I called back and it was a recorded message saying it was the Suncorp Group including AAMI, GIO and APIA and they would call again if necessary.

These people have been plaguing me the last few weeks.
They always call right on dinner time; phone rings 3 or so times and then hang up without message. What the hell is the point of this?
Finally got sick of it and searched and came to this site. I can see the caller is AAMI or connected to them. I have 3 policies with them. Now that I know, I'm going to tell them that I'm going to cancel all of the policies if I get even 1 more call.
