Is there any way to block callers on house phone?

Could somebody tell me how to block numbers

Over people from this number calling always asking for others

Received calls from this number same time every night for a week. I don't answer as I don't recognize number, they never leave a message so I assume they are selling unsolicited. will block this number

exactly the same for me; lots of calls recently; don't recognise number so don't answer; also on the 'do not call register'....we don't pay for phone service to have unwanted people calling us do we???

They've been calling my mobile all week, I finally got to answer it and they said they were aami car insurance and they asked for my dad? Don't know how they got my dad's name.

I don't answer , they keep trying .

I've had several calls from this number in the last few days. I have caller ID on my phone and don't answer numbers I don't recognise. I guess they will keep calling in the hope I will answer. I am on the do not call register but this has not stopped these calls.

Constantly calling without leaving a message.

Currently o/s and they have called 3X. Did not answer as did not recognise number. A quick check on this site confirmed that I should (& have) blocked this number!

Basically this is Suncorp (who own all the other brands discussed here, eg GIO). It seems, as I discovered from AAMI customer service yesterday that if you are an AAMI customer, your details are fair game to be passed on to the parent and all its other businesses. After asking AAMI to remove me from marketing calls in September, I find it offensive that they didn't consider that request to apply to the whole business and I have complained to ACMA.

They have been calling 3 times a day. When I pick up they hang up, if I don't pick up they do not leave a message. I'm thinking I'll just block their number.

They say they calling for GIO Insurance but are they real ??

They just called claiming to be from insurance Australia agency or IAL. Told her that company wasn't legit and never to call me again

Received a few missed calls from (07) 3135 4949 on my mobile. It's Suncorp Group. I have no dealings with them at all.

Had these parasites call several times so I finally answered the call. The woman (Philippine/American accent) "claimed" it was GIO insurance. We are registered with Do Not Call so I told her I would report it if she called again. Personally I suspect it's a scam!
