Had a call from them today - also stating AAMI insurance, all they wanted was to confirm me email address (which I would not give them of course).

total spam. do not pick up at any cost!

So pleased to have a site like this to tefer too when constantly getting calls from the same number without the caller having the courtesy of leaving a message. Thanks for all your very helpful comments.

Keeps on calling......says their from AAMI insurance.

Received one call yesterday and one today at about the same time (I didn't answer and no message left). Called back & they said it was the Suncorp Group (incorporating GIO, AAMI etc), there was no further action from myself required and they would call back later if they needed me.
I have an insurance policy with AAMI but have recently paid, so not sure what they want.

This number called once no one on the other end they phoned back it was Suncorp finances and insurance.

I had been receiving calls from another persistent number (08) 6228 4010) and added them to my reject list, they are still calling but it just goes straight to message bank saying I have missed a call. They have been a little quiet in the last couple of days and today I received a call from (07) 3135 4949 but I don't answer numbers I don't know. It went to message bank but no message was left of course. After awhile I rang the number on a private line, there was an auto answer stating it was Suncorp associated with a number of companies GIO, AAMI, Suncorp and APIA, there is no further action required and they would contact me soon. Now I have another number on my reject list.

Even I don't call people and harass them that many times a day its actually classed as harassment. They are legally only allowed to call you twice a week I thought. Really sick of it 3 times today twice yesterday.

It is a scam. They ring me all the time. I engaged with them once by answering the call and he claimed he was from AAMI and that they had a systems fault and he wanted to verify my details! He had a bit of information about my insurance policies, but it was a little dated and incomplete.

Have 2 calls yesterday and one already today, did not answer. I do have AAMI insurance which I don't need to be reminded of. Very annoying that they insist on calling customers, puts me right off! All my accounts, communications from service providers are done by email at my request, phone calls I give a big miss.

I don't answer numbers from interstate unless it is my family. Looked like the person had left a voicemail but when I checked it was Background office noise and hang up - no message. My partner is currently evaluating our health insurance so we both seem to get lots of these calls whenever we are changing insurance etc.Problem is they don't just call my partner they also call me because my name and number are also on the applications etc but I am not the contact person. PS I always use this site to check numbers. THANKS

Yes, this is a call centre that represents various insurance companies. None the less, they should leave a message.

I've been called by these people 3 times so far in 2 days. I have reported them to the Australian Media and Communications Authority (do not call list). I recommend everyone who gets spammed by these people to make a complaint as each 'do not call' breach can cost them up to $3400.

I recommend joining the do not call list if you haven't already to minimise telemarketer annoyances.

Called everyday for 3 weeks, Would not leave a msg. When I finally decided to answer it was Aami giving me a quote for my car insurance due... I am not even with Aami....

Just received a call. They identified themselves as AAMI and wanted to speak about an email I should by now have received regarding a competition I was eligible to enter.
I did the 'no thank you, not interested, please delete me from your calling list' thing.
Which I'm sure won't work, but we live in hope :)
