Hi all, Suncorp Financial Services owns all of these companies (AAMI, GIO, Shannons, APIA, Just Car, Insure My Ride, Vero, Bingle, CIL, Resilium, Terri Scheer, Asteron and more) so if you have policies with any of these companies the same number will come up. Most of the time it is marketing trying to cross sell you to other policies. They have an automatic dialler and LEGALLY aren't allowed to leave a message so the dialler will keep calling until someone answers and the agent can get rid of the lead. The dialler sometimes can't realise that someone has answered so it will be dead silence and they are most definitely not allowed to pass your information on so it will still be the company that your insurance or banking is with. As far as the Do not call register goes, you are an existing customer of theirs so they are able to call you unless you specifically ask them to opt you out. When you ask for an opt out or if they offer an opt out you must do a 3 point ID check and then that will opt you out of all marketing at all and you will not receive any marketing unless you ring and change it again, so the only calls you will get after you opt out are actual calls about your existing policies.
I know this as I have worked for them and know exactly what you guys are talking about. I hope this helps!

I start getting calls on my mobile from this number every time I have an insurance policy up for renewal (house/home contents or car and all policies are with AAMI). They call at the same time every day for a week. As soon as I worked out who the calls were from (via this site), I simply added the number to my 'call reject' list. I don't need to be reminded my policy is up for renewal, I find that annoying.

I am getting calls from this number. I just answered it today and it turned out to be a "Suncorp Insurance Representative"
I told him "I don't answer questions from cold callers" And responded to each question with a question of my own.
I am now blocking this number.

Have a car insurance policy coming up for renewal, so agree must be insurance company related. VERY persistent, but I don't answer calls from numbers I can't identify. They can call all they like; they're on my screened number list now.

Called at home today. Phone answered and met with deathly silence. So even when you answer they're too stupid to speak. Based on the comments listed, if my insurer sold/gave my details to another insurer, they wouldn't be my insurer again. It would also be illegal if you are on the 'Do Not Call Register'.

Got a missed call from this number today and no message left. From the sound of the other feedback this could be my car insurance reminding me to renew or my income protection injury. But not leaving any message to follow up is annoying and rude! Especially if I'm their customer what's wrong with leaving a message? Or sounds like spam...

They have called me at least 3 times this week, all at inconvenient times, e.g. driving, sleeping, working. When I finally answered their call and asked them to take my number off the list, they said they could do that as soon as I verified my name, address and date of birth! Obviously, I said I don't give out that information and told them to stop calling my number.

Receiving calls from this number the last three days. Yesterday I answered and they said they are from AAMI insurance wanting to let me know about a competition they are running. I said I'm not interested in competitions and I'm not interested. They said ok, thanks for that information. They still are calling me. Have blocked call now.

When I call back this number it lists a number of companies attached to it, and as I'm currently with AAMI and it's one of the companies I just sent them a message on their contact page requesting that they either STOP RINGING or LEAVE A MESSAGE. Let's see how that goes. There's no reason for them to call, nothing is due at the moment...

It is Suncorp central outgoing number. So for any companies they own: Shannons, AAMI, GIO, APIA, CIL, Vero, Terry Sheer etc. It's a computerised reminder service that detects no answers and will keep retrying until it gets an answer then drops you in on an actual person. Easiest way to make it stop is actually answer it and ask to be removed from the service.
