.... an answer.I just received a phone call from Steve Tiapha.  His number is (07) 3889 9911.  He is the owner of the business contacting everybody.  He is the man to call and demand his business stop harassing you.According to Steve - they buy phone numbers from agencies.  They class anyone as a business that has advertised their number anywhere - whether a business or ABN holder or not.He has no answer as to why so many calls are made to individuals (29+ in my case) and he was not certain why message boxes are full and there is no way for people to contact them back asking for the calls to cease.He did say that he has 3 numbers that are calling people regarding insurance so I am sure we have not heard the last from him.Incidentally - when you type Steve's number into google ((07) 3889 9911) it lists a plumbing business.  Whilst I support anyone trying to make a buck - these practices should be discouraged.  Support businesses who treat people respectfully.

I contacted 1800 805 996 and was told by a worker (name recorded and I will post if I receive further calls) that the company is Insurance Partners.  I asked for a registered business address and was provided with 526 Gympie Rd, Strathpine (however, I believe this address to be the 1800 numbers address).

Apparently, Insurance Partners are targeting businesses regarding insurance.  However, I am not a business owner.  I run a couple of volunteer organisations but neither of those are listed as businesses.

I was told that my mobile number must have been registered as a business in the past.  This is news to me as I have had the same number for 15 years.

I would urge all people contacted by (07) 3103 6520 to contact 1800 805 996 and get them to ensure you are not contacted again or to provide us with accurate details of who is actually contacting us.  

This marketing is an invasion of privacy.
