The scum on the other end tried to tell me that my computer was infected with a virus (which I knew it wasn't) and tried to get me to give them my CC details so they could charge me a fee to supposedly remove the Trojan remotely. I spoke with 3 people all of whom had thick Indian accents. I declined their offer. Three days later they rang again this time offering to remove the Trojan & errors for free, provided I followed their instructions & installed remote access software from the site http://www.showmypc.com, I called them conmen & cheats & hung up the phone. These people are clearly criminals who prey on the naive & weak, do not have anything to do with them !

They're still at it. Had a call last night from " Kevin Wood", told him he was a crook and he got very angry. Wouldn't answer any questions. Finally gave me the phone number (07) 3103 2557. The owner of that number must be getting very peeved by now!

I just received similar phone call - except I spoke to Kevin Wood (he was not impressed when I laughed and said "really!! Kevin Wood".  He tried to get me to go to RUN on my computer and enter something.  I declined his offer (at which he go angry) and phoned my computer man. He said it was a scam..... buggers
