I got call from this number claiming calling from ATO in Brisbane. I have doubt of possible scam.

I just received a call from this number as Australian Taxation Office saying my home number has been selected to receive $7000.
She gave me a reference number as well and told me to call them back after 15 mins.
He accent was Indian. I called back again, a guy picked up. Which was also indian accent.

I have just received a call from this number. They said that they are from ATO and I have been "selected" to receive $7000.When I asked for their number, the gave me this number.Obviously, a hoax.

I received a call on landline. person was not speaking very clearly claiming that he is calling from ATO and mentioned the same story as above comments. gave me the same number to call with reference number.

Same story here. :( we lost 250$.

the same thing has happy to me saying dat i hav won $ 7000 and i first hav to donate $ 250 so dat i can get the $ 7000 dat i hav won the money.and now they took more then $10800 out of my hand. and now when i try to call them, they dont pick up. can someone please help us catch the theif?
