Thanks for your post Bub.  My mother-in-law has had the exact same experience from someone supposedly at Galaxy Entertainment - she has been going along with it for a few days now as there have been several phone calls.  MP4 player supposedly in the mail; a function in Sydney supposedly drawing out a prize; giving out a ticket number.

Yes,  I am currently dealing with these scammers,  trying to get more on them today to find out exaclty what they want.

Mine was the same phone call first for a survey then, I would recieve a gift for promotional advertising of a MP4.  Still waiting.

Then call to say I had won 2nd prize of $400,000 HKD.

Next they want you to fill out a Winner Claim form, then ask for bank details or if you don't want to give them this, they can open up an account with the Bank of Hong Kong temporarily,  they did not pester me with this, so that they can transfer the money to you account.

They then get someone else from the Bank of Asia Hong Kong to ring you to verify the details.

Then they ask for a Fund Resource Certicate before they can transfer such a large amount due to government rules.

So be very careful,  they are very convincing and proffessional, they also ask you what you are going to do with the prize money.  They also ask you what you know about Galaxy Entertainment Group and explain why they are running this Raffle/Promotion.

I am still waiting from a call from Hong Kong !!  more details to follow.
They really get people where it hurts, everyone is looking for that bit extra to make life that bit better.

Had a call to do a survey & said I would receive a MP4 player in the mail.  Never received it. Then a few days later another call asking me to go to a opening in Brisbane where prizes were being drawn.  Of course couldn't go & they gave me a ticket number.  1st prize a car, 2nd prize $400,000 Hong Kong 3rd etc etc.  Guess what I won. Asked for bank details but gave her a bank number that I opened at a different bank just to see what happens.  Now after faxing back winners claim form an "employee" from bank in Hong Kong is asking for a Fund Resource Certificate.  Galaxy are supposedly chasing it up as they know nothing about it.  Just had a go at her over the phone & told them it was all a scam.  She made out she didn't know what I was talking about.  Has anyone else had anything like this.
