Rang me on my mobile. Started his 'spiel' that he was from OPTUS then the call dropped out.

A work colleague got the same call as Blackbird. She was immediately suspicious and hung up.

Got the same call as Blackbird even though i'm with Telstra . Told him not interested and hung up . Got a text today saying my modem from Optus has been shipped and gave me a Toll tracking number . Deleted message .

Same optus story. When I asked for his contact number and service number Jeff became defensive and told me I'd be given every thing at the end after I'd given my details. Be nice if optus shut them down. True part was I'd been with optus years with no free new mobile offer. Slack optus

Received a call, but did not answer & they did not leave a message. Then I checked on this site. Glad i did not answer.

Rang me in Cairns. Dropped out almost immediately.....

Caller said he was Fred & was offering me a new touch screen phone because I had been a customer for a long time & had had the same mobile number for ages. Apparently I was "selected" for this honour! Told him "that's nonsense" & he became quite irate. So I asked him who's offering this phone - he replied "Optus". "Well, I'm not an Optus customer" I said, & then I told him to stop calling people with this bogus offer because no-one believes him. He got really angry, told me plenty of people believe him, he swore at me, told me I was mad, then he hung up. I'm still laughing. Think I'll report him to the AFP.

I called back number (07) 3088 6281 rang once then goes to busy tone.
