I was requesting a quote for car hire and did not recognise the phone number so did not answer. It was Alpha calling back to help me.
It was only through checking this website for the phone number that it was a legitimate return call.

You have to enter your phone number to get a quote, then they call you, even if you don't go through.
Alpha were the cheapest at Gold Coast Airport but they aren't actually at Gold Coast Airport, they are down the road, and across the NSW border. So in this time of travel restrictions and border passes, I chose the more expensive Rental car company that had a counter at the terminal. I'm not spending my holiday trying to get through a border to pick up and return a rental car.

I got a quote on line from them but didn't go thought with the hire. That was yesterday. Today I got two calls from them.....as I didn't know the number calling I didn't answer it either time. No message was left on either call.

I didnt answer the first call as it appeared to be a Brisbane number. Rang back and they said they were an overseas car rental call centre. They didnt appear to know why they called and after I hanged up, they returned another call. Said that they represented Alpha Car Rental.
