I just rang the number back and they told me the Australian company is called Brands of Choice but the call centre is based in South Africa. This company does have a web site and they say they collect data from public available sources. Here's their site http://www.brandsofchoice.com.au

I got a call this morning which I ignored until I read these comments. Surprise! They just called me back and the same woman with an Indian accent saying she was representing some company that I filled out a survey for (I couldn't understand her) and that she wanted me to do phone questionnaire and is that alright? I said no.....then silence and then just hung up. I suspect that these scammers are trying to record your voice saying "Yes" as this can be used to verify your identity or sign up for agreements that you have no idea about. Scammers for sure!

I missed the call on my work mobile. I didn't recognise the number but then tried phoning the number back thinking it may be something to do with my work. The call went directly to a voicemail message - woman with an Indian accent states "you have been contacted on behalf of Cohort regarding your entry into an online competition..." I then hung up - I have not entered any online competitions - obviously a scam.
