Numerous calls over the last few days on my work mobile.

(07) 3060 2204 They have called me on a couple of different numbers now! And hang up as soon as I answer... LEAVE ME ALONE!

It seems if you use 'Compare the Market' and enter your phone number they pass it on to companies... I also used Compare the Market to look at Car Insurance options and am now getting calls from these kind of numbers. Bloody hassle, but if you pretend to be under 18 they'll leave you alone.

They rang me so i decided to stuff them up big time so i picked up and said city morgue they said is this such a such so i asked them if they had a body that needed to be picked up they said sorry i dieled the wrong number then hung up

They are a very pushy life insurance firm from Tower Insurance and don't back off easily. They say they are not signing you up and fast talk so block the number in advance, do yourself a favor! I, told them I am quite capable of arranging anything at the most competitive rates that I can and don't need them to do my work for me. They backed off after me telling them not to call me in two days and not to undermine my decision.

It's a company that tries to promote insurance, I just got the ghost call and they hung up on me too. I think it's a way to force you to call them. Which in this case you just tell them "Sorry I'm not interested, I need to get back to work but thanks for taking my call" then you hang up. Worked for me.

Also they grab your number from an Australia phone database thing

Caller rang at midday, I missed the call. No VM, so figured it wasn't important. Having read the entries for this, I have now blocked the number under scam list.

Yes keep getting this number calling me on my mobile at around 7 or 8pm every second night I've blocked the number.

Just answered their call and they hung up! Tried calling back and they didn't pick up. They knew my full name!
