Caller: Guardian A lady supposeidly from Guardian, wants to inform you about your super policy insurances and when you last updated it. I left the conversation there. It's funny when you recall theses numbers they're always disconnected

Caller: Guardian Financial Planning When I answered the phone it sounded like a call centre, i asked whether this was a marketing call and she advised she was calling from Guardian Financial. She went on to say that she was calling about my super, I hung up and googled the company and the phone number did not match any of the 3 entries I found. I have blocked the number.

Phone numbers have been in circulation for years. Mobiles numbers you have use to belong to other users of that number. Hence if you were to disconnect your mobile and ask for a new number your number is up for grabs to anyone else on another service. And you will end up with a number that belonged to someone else once upon a time ago. And if that number was used to give to others then its already in circulation through online sites or local businesses and you will end up receiving calls that you never wanted.

After a pause having answered my phone I was greeted with English that was so poor I had to ask again where he was calling from and still didn't understand. I simply told him I was not interested and hung up. Wish I knew how they got my number. Today I have a call from a similar (07) number but I missed that one

Some survey. Sounded like a computer voice that I couldn't understand. I'm on the do not call register. I told him this. He said he was calling from Australia and it was a survey of research. What research I'll never know. He said my name was on a list. I told him it was against the law to call me. He replied he won't sell me anything. Kept talking so I hung up

Calls multiple times a day but never more than two rings. I let it go to answering machine and it's just a mumble noise. Annoying. Block. Don't answer.

Have had missed calls from this number nearly every day for past two weeks. Finally answered today. Said she was from EER (I think she said it stood for Entice Enact Return?) and that they'd found in doing a phone around in my area that they could save me upto $8k off my next tax return and had a way for me to pay off my mortgage 15 years sooner. There was so much background noise on her end of the phone that I could barely hear her. My kids then started fighting so I told her I was interested and had to go.

Just got a phone call from man with Indian accent who said he was from Australian Market Research. Had my email address and mobile number but not suburb and postcode, which I stupidly gave him. Said it was a comparison of suburbs survey. How do I block this number? I'm not computer savvy but don't want any more phone calls. Where do they get our mobile numbers from? Called the number back on a different phone to see who would answer but just got a message saying leave a message with no identifying name. All sounds very suspicious.
